Join us as we learn the secrets to creating an engaged High Performing Board of Directors!  Glenda Hicks, BoardSource Certified Governance Trainer, will facilitate an all-day training exclusively for Board Chairs with their Executive Directors of nonprofit organizations.

Executive Directors/CEOs and Board Chairs frequently struggle to engage their board members in executing their responsibilities.  Some leaders feel their boards do not follow through on commitments, cannot be reached for input, do no fulfill specific responsibilities, or expect too much from the chief executive and too little from themselves.  There are clear and specific tenets that must exist for a strong, effective board/staff relationship.  This workshop provides a forum for board chairs and their chief executives to address the barriers and emerge with solutions to strengthen the partnership and lead their boards toward sustained engagement with high performance.


Who Should Attend:  Not-for-profit board chairs with their executive director/CEO of nonprofit organizations

Purpose:  To provide Board Chairs and Executive Directors/CEOs with information, resources, tools and a peer-to-peer forum to help them work together effectively to lead and guide their individual board members in executing their responsibilities to provide the greates impact to the nonprofit organization.
